(Edmond-AP) -- The University of Central Oklahoma is adding women's golf to its varsity athletic department.

UCO will hire an adjunct faculty member to coach the team and will offer up to four scholarships for the fall 2003 semester.

The addition of women's golf gives UCO six varsity sports for women.

The university offers six men's varsity sports.
