A citizen helped Tulsa gangs officers arrest a man caught on tape assaulting a store clerk.
That citizen saw a videotape of the attack Tuesday on the News on Six and called Tulsa Police. Officers say the man yelled racial slurs at the clerk then attacked him.
Officers arrested 23-year-old Matthew League Wednesday. He didn't deny the fight, but had a different take on it, telling us, he was on the defensive, not the offensive. "I love my country, since 9-11, gotta watch out, ain't even right."
Officers booked League into jail for assault with a dangerous weapon and a hate crime.
