Troubles in the community of Turley have residents simmering. They took their complaints Tuesday night to local officials at a town hall meeting.
As we told you last week, they're frustrated with what they say is a continuous pattern of property crimes and burglaries. They say those crimes are being ignored by the powers that be.
One problem is Turley's location. It's outside the city limits, and on the edge of the county line. Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz recommended Turley consider contracting with the sheriff's department to hire its own full-time deputies.
A curfew has also been mentioned as well as incorporating Turley, so residents can form a government.
