Jurors reached a deadlock in the murder trial of highway patrol trooper David Rocky Eales.

The judge declared a mistrial for Kenneth Barrett who was accused of killing the trooper during a 19-99 drug raid near Sallisaw.

Sequoyah county district judge polled the seven women and five men three times after they reached a deadlock of 11 to one.

The jury deliberated for nearly nine hours before the judge said there would be "no benefit" in continuing.
