Area law enforcement officers are getting some training on how to deal with illegal immigrants.
Tulsa police, area Deputies and State Troopers learned about INS procedures, especially how to distinguish between bogus and real green cards and visas.
It's aimed at getting law enforcement officers to coordinate efforts with INS in light of the September 11th attacks and immigration events in Oklahoma..
Captain John Harris, OHP: "This is the latest and current information from INS to help our troopers in identification processes and in the process in itself when we contact illegal aliens this is a very good class."
This is the first in a series of training sessions for law enforcement organized by Congressman John Sullivan.
