(Oklahoma City-AP) -- In the months leading up to the election, candidates will be using electronic calling systems to remind people to get out and vote.

Candidates can purchase a list of registered voters from political parties and check voting records.

Often they will call those most likely to head the polls.

Millions of calls could go out on election day. Some will include a recorded messages from candidates.

For candidates this is an easy way to reach a lot of voters quickly. Voters say the calls are irritating and discourage them from voting for that particular candidate.
