Some neighbors in north Tulsa are taking on city hall. They want to know why the city hasn't mowed a field at 1600 E 49th Street North, of tall weeds in more than a year.
The city of Tulsa says it was backlogged because there are 200 more just like it in the city. Neighbors say the field is a danger for children walking through it to school, is a fire hazard and health hazard with rats.
Frustrated neighbor Joe Martin, "I used rat traps, the kind that sticks to their feet, but, he was so big, he just carried. I was scared to go after him, he was so big."
The city inspector supervisor says the case just got assigned to a contractor and should be mowed next week.
