The Tulsa State Fair is underway, and if you're heading out there, fair warning about where you leave your car.

Tulsa Police are looking for cars parked illegally in the neighborhoods around the fairgrounds. Many of the neighborhoods are marked with signs prohibiting parking during the fair - and those are obvious.

But it's also illegal to park in a yard on the grass - even if it's with permission - even if it's your own house. Police are handing out $50 tickets. Ticketed fairgoer Ray Pena, "It's not right, I live here, there's no ticket.”

Another ticketed fairgoer, Jason Scraper, "If you have permission to park in someone’s yard, I don't think you should get a ticket for parking there.”

It's illegal for people to -charge- for parking in their yards regardless - and more neighborhoods are blocked off.
