The case of a 6th grader suspended for aiming his finger at another student might lead to a change in the law.
12-year-old Bryson Donaldson of Muskogee pointed his finger - in the shape of a gun - at another student. The principal gave him a five-day in-school suspension.
His school has a "zero tolerance" policy for threats of violence. But one lawmaker thinks the policy needs some change. Senator Keith Leftwich, (D) Oklahoma City: “Zero tolerance for the more dangerous weapons is a good idea, zero tolerance for fingernail clippers is not a good idea.â€
Bryson is back in school. Muskogee's superintendent says future cases involving threats will get a more careful review.
