(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa defensive end Cory Hathaway says he's postponing surgery on his injured knee and will play with the pain.

Hathaway suffered torn cartilage in his left knee during Saturday's loss to Baylor. Hathaway is still practicing and will wear a brace.

Hathaway had two tackles for losses against Baylor and returned an interception for a touchdown.

He's the third Golden Hurricane defensive end to suffer a knee injury this season.

Starters Brandon Lohr and Sammy Umobong were both injured in the opener against Oklahoma.

Lohr is out for the season with a torn ACL and Umobong has miss three straight games.

Tulsa hosts Kansas Saturday night.
