(Midwest City-AP) -- Midwest City police are investigating a robbery in which the suspects posed as OG&E repairmen to gain entry into a house.

Police say two Hispanic men convinced an 87-year-old Midwest City woman that they are at her house to repair a damaged power line.

While one man distracted her, the other stole her purse.

Police say the men may have come to the woman's house the day before wanting to resurface her driveway.

The suspects are believed to have committed similar crimes in Del City, where they posed as Oklahoma Natural Gas employees at a home to check the gas lines.

When asked why they weren't wearing uniforms they left the area.
