Muskogee is celebrating the 90th birthday of its most famous landmark. The Severs hotel stands just ten stories tall, but residents say the building preserves Muskogee's identity.

Celebrities who have visited the Severs included Eleanor Roosevelt, Helen Keller, Harry S. Truman and Babe Ruth. The hotel wasn't well maintained, and the city had at one time condemned it.

A father and son eventually turned the Severs into a bank, and today, the hotel still has many of its original features.
