(San Diego-AP) -- Nine-year-old Nicholas Farber has been found safe near San Diego -- two-and-a-half days after he was taken violently from his father's home near Palm Springs.
Authorities say the boy's mother and an unidentified man were with him, and they were arrested.
The mother, Debra Rose, had earlier been described as a suspect in the case.
She had been involved in a bitter custody battle for the boy.
Police got a call today from someone who saw a motor home pull into an R-V park. Authorities in Palm Desert had put out a description of the motor home this morning -- saying they believed that's where the boy was being held.
A sheriff's deputy went to the park, and told the people inside to come out. When they didn't, other deputies surrounded the motor home. The couple inside then surrendered.
Early Wednesday morning, gunmen beat the boy's father and took Nicholas from his home.
