One dead in crash following police chase near Shawnee

(Shawnee-AP) -- One person is dead and several injured, including one critically, after a man led police on a high speed chase that ended when the car crashed in Shawnee.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the chase began near Tecumseh about 9:45 Wednesday night when a trooper tried to stop a car driven Mark Anthony Little of Shawnee.

It ended when Little's car hit another car at an intersection in Shawnee. Troopers say Little's car then rolled numerous times before hitting a utility pole 350 feet away.

A passenger in Little's car was killed and another critically injured while Little is hospitalized in fair condition. The victim's name hasn't been released.

Two teenagers in the car hit by Little's car are not seriously injured.
