Two people injured while rappelling from a Tulsa building

Tulsa Police were called to an apartment building at 224 North Main around 5:15 Friday morning to investigate a report of two people falling from the building.

Police say a resident and his girlfriend were rappelling with ropes down the side of the building when they slipped. Tulsa Police Sgt Richard Alexander, "The girlfriend fell a short distance to the ground. He was at the top of the building at the time and without a harness he climbed down the rope to assist her. He slipped from the top of the third story building to the ground below."

No names have been released at this time. The man was transported to the hospital in critical condition. The woman's injuries are not life threatening.
