Lower interest rates right now have people of all income levels interested in buying a home.

Community Action Project in Tulsa has a program that might help make the American dream a reality. Debbie Sawyer is the Loan Manager for Community Action Project.

She says their program is designed to create smarter first-time homebuyers. "When you buy a home you not only help yourself, but you also help your neighborhood." Their program will teach low and middle-income participants how to financially qualify, and all the things they need to know to become a homeowner.

There is even financial assistance available to help with the down payment and closing costs. For more information, call the Community Action Project at 382-3200.
