(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Two standouts from Oklahoma's men's basketball team are on the Wooden Award Pre-season All-American Team.

Hollis Price, a 6-foot-1 senior guard, and Ebi Ere, a 6-foot-5 senior guard, are among 50 student athletes from across the nation who make up the team.

Members of the team are early front-runners for college basketball's most coveted trophy -- the John R. Wooden Award. Placement on the team is based on last year's individual performance and team records.

The Wooden Award is the most prestigious individual honor in college basketball. It is bestowed on the nation's best player who has proven to his university that he's making progress toward graduation and maintaining a cumulative 2.0 grade-point average.
