EMSA has issued a heat alert for Friday. And, even though itâ€™s going to be hot over the next few days. Many people still have to work outside.

EMSA paramedics say theyâ€™ll be busier as the temperature goes up, mostly dealing with heat related illnesses. EMSA paramedic Jerry Pursley, "they gonna keep it up, there's always gonna be folks out here doin' a little more than they need to, not keeping up with their fluids."

The best advice, you should drink plenty of water before, during, and after time outside. You should also limit the length of time outside if you can, and take frequent breaks.
