(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Greater Oklahoma Hunter Jumper Horse Show is under way.

Show officials say the events will feature some of the most difficult jumping designs and courses ever presented in Oklahoma City.

The course is designed by Steve Stephens, who designed courses for the equestrian competition during the Atlanta Olympics.

Fences start at heights ranging form about five feet. Show officials say it's the only opportunity for local residents to see such high jumps.

The event kicked off Wednesday and will be highlighted by the $50,000 Greater Oklahoma Grand Prize on Saturday.
