(Shawnee-AP) -- The water's flowing again in Shawnee.
But officials say the flow may not be enough to put the city's water system back on an even keel.
A major waterline break today left a hospital, five nursing homes, two universities and hundreds of residences without water.
National Guard units from Oklahoma City and Shawnee brought in 400-gallon water tanks for public watering stations.
James Cole, Shawnee's public works director, says crews made repairs about 8 p-m. But he says it could take a while for the system to become fully operational.
Cole says a major water main break occurred about 4 a-m. He says the break was probably caused by age.
