(Oklahoma City-AP) -- Oklahoma City may be the next host of the 2003 Fed Cup tennis series.

Officials with the United States Tennis Association say the women's tennis matches could be played in the new Ford Center if an indoor clay court can be built in time.

In February, the city hosted Davis Cup matches in the Cox Center.

Oklahoma City organizations say they will continue to lure large-scale tennis games to the city.

Brad Lund of Express Sports said members of his company will travel to New York this summer to meet with tennis organizations to promote venues in Oklahoma City.

The company brought the Davis Cup tournament to the city earlier this year.
