A railway company says it will appeal the latest decision from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
There is reaction from the Sand Springs Railroad, hoping to close several railroad crossings in west Tulsa. As we told you earlier this week, a Corporation Commission judge shot down the proposal to close seven crossings just off of Charles Page Boulevard. The Sand Springs Railway wanted to close the crossings to improve safety. But area residents were concerned about limited access to their neighborhood, and response time for emergency crews. The judge agreed with their concerns.
Sand Springs Railroad says it will file an appeal with the Corporation Commission, in hopes of closing at least some of those crossings.
