(Pryor-AP) -- A preliminary hearing for a man accused of killing a Bixby woman during a murderous three-state crime spree is being delayed.

The hearing for Steven Ray Thacker was scheduled for Monday, but is being put off until August 27th in Mayes County District Court.

Thacker is accused of kidnapping, raping and killing Laci Dawn Hill in December 1999 at the start of the deadly spree. He's already been convicted and sentenced to death in Tennessee for killing a man in that state in January 2000. He's also a suspect in the murder of a Missouri man during the same period.
