(Stillwater-AP) -- Oklahoma State basketball coach Eddie Sutton is calling on an old friend for some help in Stillwater.

Former Texas Tech head basketball coach James Dickey will reunite with Sutton for the upcoming college basketball season.

This after an official announcement yesterday that he would be added as an assistant coach at OSU.

Dickey was an assistant to Sutton from 1981-1989 at Arkansas and Kentucky.

He coached at Texas Tech from 1991 until 2001 when he was fired and replaced by former Indiana coach Bob Knight.

Dickey says joining the OSU basketball program is a great honor.
