(Oklahoma City-AP) -- The Oklahoma chapter of the NFL Players Association is giving 500-dollar grants to eight high school football programs in the state.
The grants are to help needy high school football programs buy equipment, uniforms and supplies.
The eight schools selected are South Coffeyville, White Oak, Oklahoma Bible Academy, Paoli, Sasakwa, Alva, Depew and Freedom.
The grants are funding by the Players Association's annual OU versus OSU golf tournament. This year's tournament is scheduled for October 21st at Jimmie Austin Golf Club in Norman.
