They say every dog has his day, and Monday it was Briley's turn. Since 1995, the Chesapeake Bay retriever has worked as a bomb-sniffing dog for Tulsa International Airport.
But, Monday afternoon, Briley turned in his badge, and retired. He leaves behind an impressive career that has been hectic from the start. Tulsa Police officer Ken Daggs, "He's done so much, he's protected several presidents, first ladies, been on numerous search warrants around half the state, the OKC bombing, I don't know how many bags out at the airport and vehicles."
A special reception was held Monday morning to honor Briley and acknowledge all his hard work.
