(Stillwater-AP) -- A car crash in Texas has left Oklahoma State redshirt freshman center Frans Steyn bruised but not permanently injured.
A car smashed into Steyn's vehicle in Austin. The car overturned several times and landed upside down on a four-lane highway. Steyn had to be cut out of the vehicle.
The car was demolished. But Steyn suffered only a sprained collarbone and several bruises. He was treated and released at an Austin hospital.
The 7-foot-2 Steyn underwent arthroscopic surgery on both knees in May. He'll start playing pickup games later this month.
Steyn returned to the US just two weeks ago after spending a month with his family in South Africa.
