(Oklahoma City-AP) -- This year's Jim Thorpe All-State baseball Player of the Year award will go to the star Yukon catcher who died in a traffic accident this month.
Justin Sullivan is this year's only nominee. His family will receive the trophy at the McDonald's All-State Baseball Game.
Sullivan died after a set of wheels broke loose from a tractor trailer rig, flew across a highway median and struck Sullivan's vehicle.
Sullivan was named player of the year by The Daily Oklahoman the day before he died. He also was selected to the Oklahoma Coaches All-State team and was picked to represent Oklahoma in the Sunbelt Classic.
