An investigation continues into a human skull found near Skiatook Lake.

The Osage County Sheriff's Department was called to Black Dog Park around 11:30 Sunday morning. Deputy Wes Penland says a camper noticed a plastic bag stuffed in a hole near a trashcan.

Penland says the bag contained what appeared to be a human skull. He says the skull has some type of mechanical attachment to it and believes it might have been stolen from a school or laboratory.

Forensic experts are examining the skull.
