(Tulsa-AP) -- Tulsa officials say they're facing one of the worst budget crunches ever.
The city's $504-million budget is one-point-eight percent smaller than last fiscal year.
The budget is expected to decrease by an additional seven or eight million dollars because of a sales and use tax refund owed to one business.
Mayor Bill LaFortune has asked non emergency employees to take at least seven days off without pay.
The voluntary program could become mandatory if enough employees don't sign up.
