Here's a new development in the case of a 74-year-old Tulsa woman police thought had been beaten to death.
The State Medical Examiner says Ruth Offutt died from a stroke and the bruises on her head and chest happened when she fell afterward. Offutt was found at an abandoned gas station at 11th and Victor Sunday night.
Hospital staff didn't believe she could've gotten her injuries from a fall. But, the medical examiner Wednesday came to a different conclusion.
Homicide detectives closed their investigation.
