State representative Russ Roach of Tulsa announced Tuesday, his retirement from the Legislature.

Roach says he will not file for re-election next month. His House district extends from the midtown areas of Tulsa to areas west of downtown and includes Sand Springs.

Roach, a Democrat, has been a member of the Oklahoma House of Representatives since 1987.
