Todayâ€™s "To Catch a Crook" report features a school prank that turned into a crime.

Investigators suspect members of a rival team set fire to Bixby's high school baseball diamond.

As News on Six crime reporter Lori Fullbright explains, this prank could end in jail time.

Bixby school security officers spotted the fire on March 11th at 1-30 in the morning at the baseball diamond at Stadium and Riverview.

Officer Lucky Lamons of the Tulsa Police Department says "Our suspect set three different fires, one on the pitcher's mound, one in the shed that stores their equipment and a fence."

They also used the white line chalk to write profanities around the field... which leads detectives to believe it's the work of teenagers, maybe from a rival school.

"Pranks happen from school to school, but, when there's damage and this did seven thousand dollars damage to the public schools there, " Lamons says.

And, of course that money must come out of a school budget that is already facing tough times.
