Tulsa area teachers are getting a lesson of their own on being creative.
Many are taking a week out of their summer schedule to learn how to incorporate art into their lesson plans. A program through the Arts and Humanities Council offers teachers a chance to have fun, learn about the art collection at the Gilcrease Museum, and spread that vision to future generations.
The Arts and Humanities Council says teaching art to teachers is critical at a time when the arts are being cut from budgets in many districts.
