STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State University athletic director Terry Don Phillps has decided to resign, the school said Tuesday.

Oklahoma State sports information director Steve Buzzard confirmed that Phillips told his staff that he would be leaving.

Philips was hired by Oklahoma State from the University of Arkansas in 1994 and is credited with spearheading the development of the OSU Athletic Center, including renovations to Gallagher-Iba Arena and Lewis Field.

Buzzard said he would not immediately provide further information on Phillips' plans or the reason for the resignation.
