They're beautiful, they're talented, and some day they might just save your life.
Citizen CPR and Tulsa Firefighters are training Miss Oklahoma contestants in the life-saving skill. Beauty queens-to-be met in the Mabee Center Monday morning to learn CPR, the Heimlich maneuver and other techniques, which could be used to save a life in an emergency situation.
Miss Oklahoma, Kelly Scott, "There's only a certain amount of time you can have to save a life, and if you have those crucial minutes then it's nice to know you know how to do that."
Learning CPR isn't just for hopeful Miss Oklahoma contestants, it's for all Oklahomans. You can learn this life-saving skill in just two hours on a weekend.
