WICHITA, Kan. (AP) _ Nick Pitts had three RBIs as Arkansas beat Oral Roberts 11-6 Sunday to advance to the NCAA super regional.
Michael Conner and Pitts hit back-to-back home runs off starter Dennis Bigley as the Razorbacks (34-26) scored four runs in the first inning. Pitts was named the tournament's outstanding player.
Eric Thornton hit a two-run home run as Oral Roberts (48-19) scored three runs in the third to chase Arkansas starter Jonathan Richmond. The Golden Eagles added one run in the fourth off reliever Scott Woods to tie the game at 5-5.
That was the only run that Woods (6-2) gave up in four innings.
Arkansas scored twice in the fifth off reliever and losing pitcher David Humen (5-2) and added three more in the seventh to seal the victory.
