The Tulsa Boys Home celebrated the latest milestone in its 83-year history of service Wednesday.

The Boys Home broke ground Wednesday morning for their new $15-million campus. The new facility near 31st and 137th West Avenue will house 60 boys.

Tulsa Mayor Bill LaFortune and former US Representative Steve Largent were among the guest speakers at the ceremony. Steve Largent, "I guess growing up without a father myself, I'm particularly sensitive and appreciative of The Tulsa Boys Home. They really are stepping into the gap in these young guys' lives and making a difference."

The new campus is expected to open in about two years.
