Some Tulsa homes got a face-lift Saturday, thanks to the Rebuilding Together program.

It is part of a national project to help upgrade homes for owners who aren't able to renovate on their own. Over 400 volunteers worked on 13 area homes, building wheelchair ramps, repainting exteriors, fixing roofs, just about every "honey do" you could imagine.

Even Mayor Bill Lafortune volunteered his time. "Well, it's a great example of how we can come volunteer, and a private sector can step in and help people in need; not always relying on the government to do things, but relying on the private sector and volunteerism to come forth and make people's lives better. "

Thanks to Rebuilding Together, more than 7,500 homes and community centers across the nation got facelifts.
