Alongside a Tulsa highway, you'll now find a living memorial honoring the thousands of people who died in the terrorist attacks of September 11th.

Up With Trees dedicated a grove of 84 trees along the I-244 median near Highway 11. The display also includes a flag and globe to show respect of all the countries that lost lives that day.

US Senator Jim Inhofe spoke at Friday's ceremony not of what America lost on September 11th, but we gained. "When you stop and think, those individuals didn't die in a terrorist attack, they made a sacrifice. Because I firmly believe that the changes that came to America after September 11th were long overdue in this country."

The local branch of EDS has pledged to maintain the 'September 11th Living Memorial.'
