A standoff near 48th and Peoria ended 3 hours after it began when the suspect shot and killed himself.

Tulsa Police say the 30 year old man was inside a psychologist's office in the Brookside neighborhood, and implied he had a weapon and was threatening suicide. Police made numerous attempts to contact Zelachias Scorpio Zeinstein.

Shortly after 6PM, officers found Zeinstein dead in the back of the office, with a single gunshot wound to the head. Zeinstein was alone in the office during the standoff.

When the standoff began, police evacuated several nearby offices and closed Peoria and 48th Street as a precaution.
