STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Scott Baker allowed only three hits in nine innings as Oklahoma State beat instate rival Oral Roberts 6-0 Monday night.
The Golden Eagles (23-10) looked as though they might break their scoring drought when runners got on second and third base in the sixth inning. But Baker struck out David Castillo for the final out and held subsequent batters to one hit in the remaining three innings.
Baker improved to 4-0 for Oklahoma State, while Dennis Bigley (3-1) suffered the loss for Oral Roberts.
Josh Fields put the Cowboys up 2-0 in the first on a two-run double off Bigley. Oklahoma State went ahead 3-0 on a sacrifice fly by Jose Virgil in the third and Jeff Salazar hit his first of two RBIs in the fourth to move Oklahoma State (26-9) ahead 4-0.
Salazar's second RBI and an RBI by Daylon Monette wrapped up scoring in the eighth inning.
