Indian nationals who accuse the John Pickle Company of unfair labor practices are still pursuing legal action, and they're still looking for jobs.
Two months ago, we brought you the story of dozens of Indian nationals living and working under what they call "slave-like" conditions at the John Pickle factory.
Despite their troubles with the company -- they've embraced the Tulsa community. They can't work because they still don't have their work visas. But they attend area churches and volunteer with those that have supported them. Thomas Smith: "They are volunteering...somebody needs help, they volunteer, they want to repay what this community has done for them."
The Indian nationals have filed affidavits detailing their complaints. The John Pickle Company denies the accusations and maintains the Indians were treated fairly.
The case goes to trial in October.
