There's speculation that Williams Communications is up for sale. A spokesman for Williams won't comment on reports of a possible buyout.

The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday a Colorado-based telecommunications company may be interested in acquiring Williams.

The Tulsa based company is considering filing for bankruptcy.
