STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State's basketball team has received a signed letter of financial aid assistance from a 7-foot-2 South African, assistant coach Kyle Keller said.
Frans Steyn could not sign a more binding national letter of intent because the signing period expired May 15. He is expected to enroll for summer school at Oklahoma State next week.
The 295-pound Steyn has been living since January with a family in Texas. He chose the Cowboys over Tulsa and Baylor, according to Greg Swaim, who operates a recruiting information service.
