OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Stephanie Hodges drove in one run and scored another Saturday as Oklahoma State beat Texas Tech 2-1 to advance to the championship of the Big 12 softball tournament.
Oklahoma State (28-22) will play No. 2 seed Oklahoma for the title Saturday afternoon. Oklahoma (44-7), the defending national champion, eliminated top-seeded Nebraska 10-2 Friday night.
Texas Tech was eliminated with a record of 34-22.
Hodges scored on a fourth-inning double by Jade Lindley and drove in Amanda Hayes with what proved to be the winning run with a sixth-inning single.
Lauren Bay pitched five innings to get the win. Tiffany Paper pitched the final two innings for the save.
