DALLAS (AP) _ Jeremaine Copeland, who led the XFL with 67 receptions, signed with the Dallas Cowboys.
The signing Monday gives the Cowboys the XFL's leading receiver and rusher. John Avery rushed for 800 yards with Chicago before joining Dallas.
The Cowboys offered Copeland a one-year deal at the league minimum.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound receiver caught five touchdown passes with XFL champion Los Angeles. Copeland also played for Tennessee's 1998 national championship team and has been to training camp with the Rams and Colts.
A year ago, Copeland played for Barcelona of NFL Europe and led the league with 74 catches. He once caught 19 passes in a game for Barcelona.
