NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Charley Frasier hit a two-run home run in the eighth inning as Oklahoma beat Iowa State 7-5 in the second game of a Big 12 Conference doubleheader Saturday afternoon.
The Sooners also won the first game 8-5.
Iowa State was down 5-2 when it got three runs in the seventh inning. After Frasier's homer, pitchers Mark Roberts and Michael Bradbury combined to shut out the Cyclones in the final 2 1/3 innings.
Roberts (2-2) allowed one hit and no runs in 1 1/3 innings in picking up the victory for the Sooners (22-28-1, 9-13 Big 12).
Aaron Paterson (2-1) took the loss.
In the first game, the Cyclones (19-24-1, 9-12 Big 12) rallied in the seventh inning with four runs to bring the score to 7-4. Iowa State got another run in the ninth, but it wasn't enough.
Lincoln Mincks allowed 11 hits and seven runs in six innings and was assessed the loss for Iowa State.
Rocky Cherry (8-6) pitched his first career complete game, allowing nine hits and five runs for the Sooners.
