TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ Tulsa batters produced 16 hits, but it was Juan Piniella's sacrifice fly that gave the Drillers all the scoring it would need for a 10-2 victory over Arkansas in a Texas League game on Sunday.
The Drillers had tied the game at 2-2 in the sixth on RBIs from Jason Romano and Jason Jones, when Piniella flied out to right field to score Kevin Mench.
Tulsa went on score four more runs in the seventh, including another run-scoring double from Romano and an RBI-single from Jones. The Drillers also got three runs in the eighth.
Elpidio Guzman's run-scoring single in the first inning gave the Travelers a 1-0 advantage, and Robb Quinlan scored an unearned run in the fifth to raise the score to 2-0.
But relievers Jose Martinez, Chris Garza and Travis Hughes held Arkansas to two hits and no runs after Quinlan's score.
Martinez (1-1) picked up the victory for Tulsa.
