(Owasso-AP) -- A 17-month-old Owasso girl is in critical condition after being found face down in a decorative garden pond.

Authorities say the girl apparently wandered away from her home before being found motionless in the pond that's about one foot deep.

Rogers County Chief Investigator Larry Elkin says Louise Fegel called police Thursday to report her child missing. A neighbor discovered the girl in the pond at a home across the street from Fegel's home.

Elkin says the girl had no signs of trauma and was taken to the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa.
